Fix IPTV Smarters “failed to authorize”

From iptvusa.tv: the server refused your login, and here is the fix.

  • 8 fixes, the usual cause first

What does “failed to authorize” mean?

IPTV Smarters reached your provider’s server, and the server refused the login: the username, the password or the server address is wrong, or the subscription has run out, been suspended or is playing on another TV. IPTV Smarters is only a player, with no channels of its own, so the fix is the login, not the app.

Which message do you see?

  • “Failed to Authorize.”

    IPTV Smarters Player

The server refused the login: the fixes below.

  • “Authorization Failed for above host”

    IPTV Smarters Pro

The same refusal, worded for the server you typed: the fixes below.

  • “Authorization failed! Please ask your TV Service provider to get their DNS registered with App provider”

IPTV Smarters on Samsung and LG TVs

Not your login. The TV version of the app plays only servers the provider registered with the app’s maker, so only the provider can fix it. Or use another player from your TV’s store with an M3U link, or a Fire TV Stick with our app.

How to fix IPTV Smarters failed to authorize

Start at the top: the usual causes come first. Log in again after each one.

  1. Retype the username and password

Both are case sensitive: Password123 and password123 are two different passwords. Press the eye next to the password to see what you typed, look for a space before or after, and copy both from your provider’s email if you can.

  2. Check the server address

Type it exactly as your provider sent it: http:// at the start (not https:// unless they wrote it), the port number after the colon if there is one, and no slash at the end.

  3. Check that your subscription is paid

An expired or suspended subscription gives this exact message. Your provider can tell you its end date.

  4. Close it on your other TVs

A plan for one TV refuses a second one at the same time. Close the app on every other device, wait two minutes, then log in again.

  5. Turn off your own VPN

Some servers refuse VPN addresses. Switch it off, or pick another location, and try again (do you need a VPN?).

  6. Try another network

Log in over your phone’s hotspot. If it works there, your internet provider may be blocking that server: setting the TV’s DNS to 1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8 can get past it.

  7. Restart, then clear the app’s data

Restart the TV and the router, and check that the TV’s date and time are right. Then clear IPTV Smarters’ cache and data (on a Fire TV Stick: Settings, Applications, Manage Installed Applications), open it, press Add user and type the login again.

  8. Test the login elsewhere, then ask your provider

Try the same login in another IPTV app or on your phone. Refused there too? The problem is the server or your account, and only your provider can fix it: send them the exact message.

Skip the login: one code, no server address

Our one-code app, CatchON TV, is a free Firestick IPTV player that asks for one code, typed with the remote, instead of a server address, a username and a password.

IPTV Smarters, TiviMate and other player questions

IPTV Smarters on Samsung TV, TiviMate Firestick installs, Smart IPTV trials and MAC addresses: the player questions people ask us. The rest is in the IPTV USA FAQ, and the live chat answers 24/7.

What does authorization failed for above host mean?

It is IPTV Smarters Pro’s wording of the same refusal: the app reached the server, and the server turned the login down. Start with the username, the password and the server address.

Does failed to authorize mean my TV is the problem?

No. On a Hisense, Samsung or LG TV, a Firestick or a phone, the message comes from your provider’s server, so the fixes are the same on every screen.

Why does it work on my phone but not on my TV?

Three usual reasons: a typo made with the TV remote, the phone already using the plan’s only TV, or, on a Samsung or LG TV, a server not registered for the TV version of the app. Close the app on the phone, then retype the login on the TV.

Is IPTV Smarters down right now?

IPTV Smarters plays your provider’s server, so when that server is down the app shows errors or no channels. Ask your provider. For our lines, the live chat answers 24/7, instantly.

Does IPTV Smarters come with channels?

No. Its maker sells no subscriptions and no content: you add a provider’s login or M3U link, and the channels come from that provider.

Will your channels play in IPTV Smarters?

Yes. Ask in the live chat and we send you an M3U link to load in it. If you would rather type one code and nothing else, use our free app.

Can I get IPTV Smarters on Samsung TV?

Look in your TV’s app store: what it carries depends on the model and the country. Not there? Any IPTV player in that store plays our channels with the M3U link we send in the live chat. Or plug in a Fire TV Stick and use our app.

Why isn’t Smarters IPTV Pro working on my Samsung TV?

If it asks your provider to get their DNS registered, the provider’s server is not registered for the TV version of the app, and only the provider can fix that. If it says failed to authorize, start with the fixes at the top of this page. Or try another player from the TV’s store with our M3U link.

How to download TiviMate on Firestick?

TiviMate is not in Amazon’s app store, so people install TiviMate on Firestick with the Downloader app, as they install ours. Like IPTV Smarters, it has no channels of its own: you add a provider’s M3U link, and we send ours in the live chat.

Is TiviMate being blocked on FireStick?

Not on the Fire TV Stick Lite, 3rd generation, 4K and 4K Max: Downloader still installs it, and our app too. The Fire TV Stick 4K Select and later models run Vega OS and install no apps from outside Amazon’s store yet. More in our Fire TV answer.

What is the best IPTV player for Firestick?

The one with the least to type. IPTV Smarters and TiviMate need a provider’s login or M3U link. Ours is a free IPTV player for Firestick that needs one code: in Downloader, type 5728794.

Does the Smart IPTV app have a free trial?

Yes. Smart IPTV trials last 7 days, then the app asks a one-time fee of 5.49 euros for each TV, tied to its MAC address. It is only a player with no channels: ours come as an M3U link from the live chat.

What is an IPTV MAC address?

Your TV’s own ID number. Players such as Smart IPTV and IBO Player, and MAG boxes, are tied to it: your channels are added to that address. Our app needs no MAC address, only one code.
